Tangie’s bar soap donation program

For every order received on Tangieco.com, we donate one bar of soap to a non-profit organization that helps people in need of hygiene products.  

When we can give to others, why not? 

In the early days of Tangie, I realized that giving soap was something I could easily do ,whether the bars of soap resulted from one of my endless test batches or ugly (unsellable) soap bars, the bars still did their job – giving the sense of feeling clean, smelling good and washing germs away.  

Too many people go without soap and not just those who are experiencing homelessness.  

Everyone deserves the ability to be clean. Good health is dependent our ability to clean ourselves. No one should have to worry about choosing between buying food or buying soap.  

Hand washing and bathing with soap removes germs from our hands and body and this helps prevent infections from spreading and people getting sick.  

Think how many times a day you touch their eyes, nose, and mouth without even realizing it. Germs can make their way into our body and can make us sick. 

Germs can also be transferred from unwashed hands to door knobs, toys,  handrails, and other objects; possibly getting other people sick. Having access to soap is not meant to be a luxury, it’s a necessity to keep us all safe.  

The health factor is huge but the sense of wellness one receives from feeling clean is priceless. Imagine how you would feel not being able to shower and wash your body (or hands) for a day, or week, or months or more.

I always believed that life takes a village. 

Since bars of soap is what Tangie does everyday, bars of soap is something I want to give to others and with your help, the number of bars we donate each year  increases! 

It’s not possible for us to go through life alone, without the help of others. So since I have the opportunity to give others the gift of hygiene, I want to do it as often as possible. 

I am so happy to be able to donate a bar of soap through Tangie for every order we receive. I’ve been doing it for as long as I can or until these donations are no longer needed. It will be a wonderful day when soap is accessible to all no matter a person’s financial position.
