WHY TANGIE STARTED
It all started with a load of laundry!
Tangie was started because Angie had enough of her annoying skin irritations. Something in her head told her to look at the laundry soap she was using. After all, we ‘wear’ our laundry soaps every day when we wear clothes. She looked at the ingredient labels on the laundry bottles, and to her surprise, there were no ingredients listed. No ingredients listed, is that legal? She ‘assumed’ all the ingredients had to be listed on products like these.
This awareness then opened a huge rabbit-hole that Angie fully jumped in to. She began her mission to understand the ingredients needed for healthy skin and a healthy home because she truly believes that what we put on, in, and around our body matters to overall health.
What started as a quest for happier skin has grown into something much more. As a natural redhead, Angie, had to find ways of protecting her sensitive skin self from the harsh chemicals and fragrances found in most skin care and cleaning products.
She began formulating her own formulas and to her surprise, they worked really well. The products were effective at cleaning yet gentle on her skin. Her skin was glowing, her clothes were fresh and clean. She gave plenty to friends and family. They loved them too! Angie knew she was on to something great, and she wanted to share these results with the world.
When Angie Ringler launched Tangie in 2012, with her cornerstone laundry soap and a commitment to only using natural ingredients. The desire to eliminate the use of wasteful plastic packaging came a few years later – taking her nearly a decade to hit her stride with just the right offerings.
It was making a commitment to go plastic-free that forced her to recreate and launch concentrates of her previous household cleaning and personal use products. This provided Tangie with the focus the company needed to increase sales, which doubled in the past year. Angie leads Tangie with a fierce love for the planet, thoughtful consumption and generosity for others.
Getting people to change habits is a tremendously challenging business to be in and Angie has pivoted several times in order to create the most effective, environmentally responsible products. Angie owns her own fulfillment center; has manufacturing partners throughout the United States and proudly shares that her white/private label customers are what allow Tangie to make the biggest impact.
Driven by our passion for the best ingredients, as well as a personal commitment to respecting our planet, through Tangie, Angie created a magnificent line of skin, hair, and household cleaners.
Like many entrepreneurs, Angie is focused on her mission – finding natural alternatives and eliminating single-use plastic waste. The practical skills and information she has learned along the way is what she enjoys sharing with her customers so they can build their confidence in making better ingredient choices.

Each year. Angie donates body soap and cleaning products to several local non-profits in Central Florida, where Tangie is based. With your help, the donation numbers keep increasing! Whether you buy a bar from us online or at a store in your community, we match that purchase and donate a bar to someone in need.
The Tangie Bar for Bar Program started without a plan. It was a space she saw a need and she gave what she could.
Today, Tangie is an American brand, highly appreciated by the eco-conscious community across the United States and is single-handedly responsible for stopping tens of thousands of plastic bottles every year from ever being used.
