At Tangie, we always aim for the cleanest formulations possible. While Enroot isn’t 100% as clean as we strive for, we’re making meaningful progress by eliminating many of the unhealthy ingredients found in most major brands. This is just the beginning—our goal is to keep refining this formula until it meets the highest standards of clean beauty while remaining an effective, plastic-free alternative.

🚫 AEROSOLS – Traditional root touchup sprays use pressurized aerosol cans, which contribute to air pollution and ozone depletion. Enroot eliminates the need for these wasteful and harmful delivery systems.

🚫 AMMONIA & PEROXIDE – Found in permanent hair dyes, these harsh chemicals can weaken hair structure, cause scalp irritation, and strip away natural oils. Enroot offers a gentle, temporary solution—no chemical processing required.

🚫 SYNTHETIC FRAGRANCES – Fragrance blends can contain hidden phthalates, which have been linked to hormone disruption, headaches, and allergic reactions. Enroot is fragrance-free to avoid unnecessary exposure to these unknown additives.

🚫 1,4-DIOXANE – A byproduct of the manufacturing process for SLS/SLES, 1,4-Dioxane is a known carcinogen. Since Enroot avoids SLS/SLES, it also eliminates this hidden risk.

🚫 PROPYLENE GLYCOL – Used to help ingredients penetrate the skin, but it may also increase skin sensitivity and irritation. It’s unnecessary in a temporary root touchup, so we left it out.

🚫 TRICLOSAN – Once a common antibacterial agent in cosmetics, triclosan is now restricted due to concerns about its link to hormone disruption and antibiotic resistance. Enroot does not contain antibacterial additives.

🚫 PHOSPHATES – These chemicals contribute to water pollution by promoting algae overgrowth in lakes and rivers, which depletes oxygen for aquatic life. Enroot is phosphate-free, helping to keep waterways clean.

How do I compost the product tube?
