The Many Ways to Use a Tangie Conditioner Bar
There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all hair routine. That’s why we created Tangie Conditioner Bars, which are designed to meet the needs of your hair. Unlike bottled, liquid conditioners, a Tangie solid conditioner bar can be used in several ways. So whichever way you want to use it, Tangie has got you covered!
Less conditioner is more effective than you might think. We’ve been conditioned (pun intended) to believe that we need a lot of product to see results, but that’s simply not the case. Start with a small amount and see how your hair feels after it’s dry and/or styled; you can always add more next time, after you decide which way you prefer to use a Tangie conditioner bar.
The short version of how to use our solid conditioner bars.
3 steps…
- After you shampoo your hair, apply the conditioner to all of your wet hair strands, focused on the ends.
- Leave the conditioner in your hair for a few minutes before washing it off completely.
- Enjoy your refreshed hair!
Solid Bar Wipe and Rinse
To use the conditioner bar right out of the box, hold it in your hand and wipe it on your hair in a downward motion. You can use it like any other ordinary conditioner by applying it after shampooing your hair and into all your strands. Leave it on your hair for a couple of minutes before rinsing it off thoroughly and then enjoy the feel of your refreshed locks.
After you’ve wet your hair, take the conditioner bar and rub it directly onto your hair in a downward motion, focusing on the tips of your hair. Allow it to sit for one or two minutes before rinsing it out. If you’re having trouble ensuring that the product is covering your entire head, don’t worry! You can also rub the bar between both of hands before running them through your locks—this will help evenly distribute the mixture.
For long hair, try the ‘two low ponytails’ method. Part your hair in the back down the middle and pull each section over a shoulder, then swipe the bar down each section of hair.
There are many ways you can use a Tangie conditioner bar to find what works best for your hair. If it’s difficult for you to hold the conditioner bar, then try turning it into a liquid form before using it. If you would rather have a spray-on leave-in deep conditioning treatment, liquify the bar and add it water in order achieve mouse-like consistency perfect for applying by hand to your wet or dry hair!
Heat and Spray
Turn that solid bar into a liquid!
Directions: Simply cut the bar in half 4 times to create 8 pie wedges. Afterward, add 8 ounces of water and one piece of the conditioner bar to a small pan. Heat up the mixture until it’s almost boiling then remove it from heat. Stir occasionally until everything is dissolved; this usually takes about 5 minutes. Once it has cooled, pour the liquid into your spray bottle or pumper for dispensing in the shower.
Customize Your Liquid Conditioner
If you want a thicker conditioner to pour into your hand, add one more piece of conditioner bar while following the above steps. Dissolve as many pieces as needed until you reach the consistency you prefer.
Remember that shaking your spray or pumper bottle before dispensing the liquid conditioner will yield the best results.
Tame Frizz or Deep Conditioning
To use our leave-in conditioner, first soften the bar using your fingers. Then apply it to damp or dry hair–paying special attention to the tips to tame frizz. For deep conditioning, add a thick layer over all your hair and leave it in for 20-30 minutes. Finally, rinse thoroughly before styling as usual.
Soak and Soften Directions:
- Place your conditioner bar in a lidded container, filling it with enough water to cover the entire bar.
- Then let it sit for 24 hours, flipping over halfway so each side of the bar gets an opportunity to soak up water. By the end of this process, your bar will be larger and softer, similar to thick cream cheese. The more water you use initially, the bigger and softened your outcome will be; feel free to experiment!
- Finally, drain off any remaining excess water and store in a container until ready for use.
After the pre-soak, you can alter the water’s temperature to achieve your desired level of softness. The bar will become thick yet soft enough to scoop a bit onto your fingers to apply onto your strands where needed. This makes for effective leave-in conditioner or deep conditioning treatments.
We hope you found these details and directions to get the most value from using a natural Tangie conditioner bar.
